Schloss Basthorst - Crivitz

Spent Xmas at a former palace near Schwerin, with nice rooms, good service, and good food. A boutique hotel offering a nice pool, beautiful surroundings, and a lake nearby. Very refined, with a wonderful main building and well-trained staff. The restaurant served a complete breakfast that was comprehensive and well stocked. The spa area was a great place to relax and offered plenty of Saunas and peace.

Although the room was lovely, the downside was no shower gel in the bathroom, and just a half-liter bottle of water instead of a full one. We had to go looking for a shop since there wasn't one around the area. The design of the bathroom was not very flattering, and the room lacked air conditioning, which made sleeping an uncomfortable experience, particularly for the hotter months.

Schloss Basthorst ist a beautiful hotel nestled in a remote little village straight from a fairy tale. The interior design is lovely and it feels as if the whole hotel has been designed with one goal in mind: the comfort of the guests. The small but well equipped pool and spa area are great and the staff is very friendly.

We did not care for the food. The breakfast is great, but dishes ordered from the menu were slightly over cooked and under seasoned.

I had a fantastic stay! The location to the really good WINSTON golf course was perfect. The hotel facilities and staff were superb, and the breakfast was great. I also loved how close the hotel was to a small lake-perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.

Nothing, all was good.

I was thrilled to visit Glambecksee lake and chose Schloss Basthorst for its proximity. However, the complimentary wireless Internet access at the hotel pleasantly surprised me. It was convenient to stay connected during my trip. Additionally, the French cuisine at Wilhelmina Helena, one of the hotel's 3 restaurants, was absolutely delicious.

Nothing, it is perfect.

I had a wonderful time at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location of this place down to a nice lake was absolutely stunning. I enjoyed taking an evening stroll after dinner and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The rooms in the old castle were modernized but still had a lot of ancient atmosphere, adding a unique touch to my stay.

This hotel is highly recommended for families.

Guests can take a leisurely 15-minute walk to a nearby lake or indulge in the lovely spa with newly renovated facilities. Rooms are spacious, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds, while breakfast offers a large selection of good-quality food.

The hotel could benefit from better customer service training for front desk staff.

Lovely countryside setting with lots of outdoor activities available including rafting on a lake. the hotel room was well-equipped with a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. the breakfast was pretty good too, with a variety of options to choose from.
